Mazarine is not only a wonderful artist with lots of skills, always interested in new technics and other styles; she is also a good art teacher which tries to boost her students creativity. If necessary, she is not afraid to show the way on the canvas, to share her knowledge. The mix media class I took was really enjoyable. I learned some modern painting techniques, which led me towards a brand new painting territory. I always thank the day I had first met you in my life as with you I have truely realised my own talent of being an artist. My journey of self-exploration started just then when I started taking classes with you. I remember my first day in the class, I thought I knew a lot but then I was so hesistant to even explore my own canvas. You have been a real support, a wonderful teacher, a good friend and a brilliant guide. You guided me to look far beyond what I could see on the canvas and try various techniques and ideas. It’s been a splendid time which i shall cherish all my life. You are so complete as an artists and generous as a teacher who does not have a slightest hitch of sharing her views and giving us tips and ideas. I remember you used to bring your own work from home just to show us how we can try different things - I don’t think anyone would do that! You were so secure as a person and helped bring in us the same quality, confidence and your boost us every time we made a blunder. You have been the best teacher I have could ever get in this exploration of my life. I signed up for Mazarine’s class last term as a complete beginner and, at first was somewhat unsure and intimidated. My feelings were completely unwarranted, her class catered to all levels, from beginner to intermediate. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of mediums and techniques we explored through the 8 weeks. We used inks, acrylics and oils and painted various subject matters. It was unlike other classes where every student paints the same thing for the duration of the term.
Mazarine guided us through the various mediums while letting the students paint what they envisioned which helped them to preserve their own unique style. The class was interactive and Mazarine was very hands on with everyone. In addition, Mazarine’s would share her own paintings which let the students see how each medium/technique could come to life and be discovered in a variety of ways.
